MISSING THE WOODS

MISSING THE WOODS

MISSING THE WOODS

Woke up before Sunshine,
Kissed Beethoven goodbye,
I left for the city in the midnight.

Far from the wood,
In search of some food,
In the shades of the lights.

Escaping hotels and bars,
Sewers and cars,
I saw a kite on a height.

The kite wasn’t there,
A gentleman with beard.
In the corner I sat tight.

Missing Beethoven, missing Sunshine,
Howling in the silence,
Making them realize,
That it wasn’t just a canine.
